Los Angeles’ Stranger Things Experience won’t be around for long, but think of all the exciting things you can still experience at 1345 N Montebello Blvd before it leaves! The experience is a thrilling ride into the Upside Down, with some delightful food and drinks to match! Keep reading for a rundown of all the yummy offerings the Stranger Things experience has in store.
Grab a bite at Surfer Boy Pizza, brochachos!
While you can visit all of the Mix-Tape’s delicious food spots in any order you’d like, we’re definitely ‘savory then sweet’ type of people! Surfer Boy Pizza obviously has its home-made pizza to offer, with its 3 cheeses, jalapeno, pineapple (don’t knock it ‘til you try it!) and pepperoni. And if you aren’t salivating yet, El and the gang’s favorite pizza spot also offers corndogs, a California wrap, and an unexpectedly delicious Campo panini made with roasted asparagus and spinach, vegan mayo, roasted fennel and bianca bread.
After your Demogorgon slaying, relish in some liquid courage at The Upside
After paying a visit to Surfer Boy Pizza, it’s time to indulge in some tasty Stranger Things-themed cocktails. The Upside has a few cocktails to choose from, but our favorites were the Demogorgon (bourbon, twisted orange, maple syrup, bitters and a cherry, topped with a miniature stroopwafel) and the Friends Don’t Lie (tequila, orange juice, lemon lime soda, glittering grenadine and an orange slice). All cocktails come in a regular 10 oz or large 16 oz cup that you can keep as a souvenir! They were strong and super flavorful, but for those who prefer alcohol-free options, there are also delicious mocktails to choose from.

Enjoy a totally consensual brain freeze at Scoops Ahoy (No Dr. Owens here)
After indulging in Surfer Boy Pizza and The Upside’s mouth-watering offerings, head on over to Scoops Ahoy, where you’ll find plenty of ice cream flavors and unexpected sundae creations. From classic french vanilla, strawberry and cookies and cream to unique flavors like chocolate brownie extreme and mango sorbet, Scoops Ahoy has loads to offer.
Our favorites have to be the Dusty Bun — a warm cinnamon roll to which you can add an ice cream scoop — the chicken & waffles, and the USS Butterscotch Sundae, a decadent banana split sundae topped with butterscotch drizzle. And if all those options don’t suffice, you can always grab some candy, pretzels, popcorn or cotton candy.
