Out in the Santa Clara River Valley, Sunburst Railbikes hosts a one-of-a-kind railbike experience through California’s most scenic citrus groves!
Riders can enjoy a two-hour pedal-assist railbike trip that follows part of the former Southern Pacific Railroad. The track was built in 1887 as a main rail line between San Francisco and Los Angeles, and was used as late as the 1950s to haul citrus along the Santa Clara River.
The 10-mile railbike route begins at the historic Santa Paula Depot before winding through acres of working citrus farms. It includes a stop at Prancer’s Farm, where riders can disembark to pick fresh produce, interact with friendly farm animals, and enjoy a picnic lunch.
In addition to the classic railbike experience, Sunburst Railbikes offers several add-on experiences, including a sunset ride at golden hour, charcuterie kits for the picnic, and an extended option with an extra hour of ride time.
Located just over an hour northwest of Los Angeles, Sunburst Railbikes makes for an easy historic day trip with plenty of photo ops and snacks.
