Sláinte away with festive libations and live music at “The Tam.” To celebrate 100 years of delivering cheerful spirit, a unique setting and the jolly traditions of faraway lands to the city, they’ll be honoring this incredible milestone with a series of festive events. And it all begins this month with a big St Patrick’s Day bash on March 17.
Step into Walt Disney’s favorite lunch spot and take a seat amongst the wood-clad walls, plastered in Scottish kilts, tartan, and coats of arms, while you guzzle green brews and Kegs of Guinness. If you’ve been waiting a whole year to get out your lucky charms and shamrock prints, then join the revelry in the tent by booking a $10 ticket here. From 12:30 onwards, Ploughboys, Haywire and Reaver Ship will be belting out Celtic tunes to ensure you have a rollicking good time.
The merriness doesn’t end there though, throughout the year there’ll be more special events happening, including a 100th Anniversary Whisky Tasting Series in April.
It would be criminal to celebrate maturity without enjoying a curated collection of whiskies, featuring some of the top independent bottlers. There’ll always be hearty meals to feast on to make sure you don’t get too “flootered” but keep your eye out for a few birthday additions on the menu.
This historic Atwater pub L.A. treasure has been drawing crowds since its crooked timber doors flung open in 1922. It was dreamed up by Lawrence Frank and Walter Van de Kamp and designed by the famous Hollywood set designer Harry Oliver. You’d struggle to miss the sunken roof and Medieval-style exterior while driving along Los Feliz Boulevard a century ago, and nothing much has changed since then—even with a slew of boutiques popping up around it.
