Bistro 1759: An elevated culinary experience.
The Grove has just debuted a four-course private dining experience on the top level of its vintage double-decker trolley. Up to 10 dinner guests can take a seat at the brass-accented table setting as the streetcar winds around the cobblestone avenues, passing the retro facades at the city’s favorite open-air mall. From May 18 through August 31, you can hop aboard and embark on an unforgettable journey while you feast on a delicious menu by Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill. Reservations at the all-new Bistro 1759 can be made here.
On your 90-minute journey, a classically attired conductor will be steering as you dine on delectable dishes like Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, Wings & Oxtail Friend Rice, and chef-selected Sashimi Platters. You can pair your dishes with a curated selection of wines, craft cocktails, beer or sake.
Stepping onto this historic undercarriage of a 1950s Boston streetcar will instantly transport you to a bygone era. It’s hard to think of a more unique way to enjoy L.A.’s gorgeous weather than wining & dining as you coast along First Street past the iconic Park and Dancing Fountain accompanied by a signature soundtrack.
“Our philosophy at Caruso has always been grounded in community and sparking joy,” said Rick Caruso, Founder and CEO of Caruso. “For so many in Los Angeles, The Grove is a beloved gathering place, and Bistro 1759 is yet another way for us to honor our commitment to surprising and delighting our guests. To me there’s nothing better than spending quality time with those closest to me, and after a year where so many of us have been forced apart, it’s a privilege to introduce something that will bring us back together.”
While this coveted experience does sound dreamy, it’s definitely designed for special occasions with experiences starting at $1,000. Guests are encouraged to tailor every detail to make it as magical as possible.
