The Montalbán Theatre is a Hollywood staple for many reasons, but one is its dedication to community-focused live events. Located at 1615 Vine St., the beautiful space has been home to countless stage productions, film festivals, art galleries, and more over its nearly 100 years in operation. Needless to say, The Montalbán Theatre is a cultural hub with tons of fun events that you don’t want to miss, and you’ll find some of our favorites below!
Meet Cute at the Montalbán Theatre
Nobody likes dating apps, so The Montalbán is hosting an in-person mix-and-mingle event for all the single kings and queens out there. There’s speed dating, “yappy” hours, mixers, icebreakers, film screenings, and much more. The Montalbán hosts Meet Cutes Mondays through Wednesdays, and each day has its own theme:
- Monday Mix & Mingle: Drinks, food, a rom-com montage screening, speed dating, a mingle session, and a “yappy” hour (1 hour).
- Taco “Tunes” Day: Tiny tacos, music videos with a blind duet karaoke, speed dating, a mingle session, and a “yappy” hour (1 hour).
- Wednesday Meet Cute Live: Flip the script and watch someone else on their own first date! You’ll even get to vote to see if the lucky couple gets a chance at a second date. Afterwards, there will be an audience Q&A and a mingle session.

Rooftop Movies at the Montalbán
Upgrade your movie game with rooftop views of Downtown Hollywood! The Montalbán is hosting a film series on their iconic rooftop to celebrate the spooky season. They also offer food, cocktails, and games, so you can be sure you’re in for a good time.
