The Rooftop Cinema Club’s drive-in movie season has landed and they’re extending through January!

The outdoor cinema mavens have returned to Los Angeles and they’re taking over the tarmac at the Santa Monica Airport as a drive-in theatre with a 52-Foot outdoor screen. Their exciting alfresco cinema holiday season lift-off is almost sold out, so, they’ve decided to delight Angelenos with an extra month of magic.

Instead of celebrating all things Yuletide this January, the schedule will celebrate the awards season with a dazzling lineup of award-winning films and nominees through the years, with everything from groundbreaking blockbusters to celebrated animated films. Expect cult classics like Pulp Fiction, America’s beloved classics like Grease and Casablanca, along with Disney Renaissance animations like The Lion King. As always, there’ll be healthy does of horror thrown into the mix too.

You’re welcome to bring your own food to enjoy under the stars, but there’ll also be concessions available from local businesses for contactless pickup, including The Cloverfield. Tickets cost between $30 and $45, depending on the time you go and the number of people in each car. On Wednesdays, there’ll be $5-$10 community screenings with 100% of the proceeds going to a Los Angeles regional food bank.

Masks will be required whenever you leave the vehicle and social distancing measures will be in place. While you will be able to sit on the outside at the back of a pickup truck, only seating within a vehicle will be permitted.
