We all know Trader Joe’s is beloved across the country, especially in California, where it’s considered a local staple. The brand’s cult following showed up once again, this time with a frenzy to get their hands on the coveted limited-edition tote bags, released just in time for Easter.
Soft shades like pink, baby blue, and lavender decorate the simple straps of the reusable bag, which originally retailed for just $2.99. The spring-hued edition came on the heels of the viral success of the original mini totes in blue, green, red, and yellow, which took the internet by storm in both February and September 2024, sparking long lines earlier in the week.
Thanks to the viral hype surrounding these quirky accessories, many shoppers have jumped at the chance to resell them at outrageous prices. On eBay, individual items can reach $1,000, while a combo of two (pink and light blue) is on sale for $950. While a set of four can be found for $400, not including the almost $60 for shipping.
But don’t panic, you don’t have to drop a fortune to get your hands on one of these items! According to what a spokesperson told to People Magazine, the tote bags will be restocked daily for as long as supplies last. So keep an eye out at your local Trader Joe’s, and be ready to wait in line if you want to snag one at the original price.
