Spooky season is just around the corner, which means Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) has officially crept their way into our plans, and it seems Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye wants in on some of that action.
“We are thrilled to take guests inside of the mind of The Weeknd, who is a Halloween Horror Nights fan himself,” said John Murdy, Executive Producer of HHN’s in a press release.
Sounds like Los Angeles is in for a real (grotesque) treat this season by entering into the world of The Weeknd’s scariest fantasies. His latest album is set to be the soundtrack of his After Hours Nightmare experience. Rumor has it, he’ll be stalking fans throughout the maze while bandaged creeps attempt to perform gory plastic surgery. Expect a carnage rave, a bloody masquerade, and many other under-worldly frights.
“I always wanted my own Halloween Horror Nights haunted house as Halloween has always been significant to my music,” shared The Weeknd in a press release. “So this is a total dream come to life. I feel like my music videos have served as a launching pad for a collaboration like this, and I cannot wait for people to experience this madness.”
One thing’s for certain, he’s making sure all of our fears come true—to the point where Angelenos might be begging to “Escape From L.A.”
This years Horror Nights started on Thursday, September 8, and tickets are currently on sale. General admission starts at $72, and you can purchase them online or in person at the Universal Studios Hollywood front gate. For more information, visit www.HalloweenHorrorNights.com.
