Surf culture is synonymous with California, and there’s no better place to experience it than at the US Surf Open. This year, from August 3 to 11, 2024, Huntington Beach will set the scene as a surfer’s haven.

The US Surf Open is the largest surfing competition in the world and a key event hosted by the World Surf League (WSL). Founded in 1959 as the West Coast Surfing Championship, the event has evolved through various names, finally becoming the US Surf Open in 1994.
This prestigious event attracts top athletes from around the globe and serves as a pivotal stop on the WSL Challenger Series and Longboard Tour.

What to Expect from the 2024 US Surf Open
This nine-day festival, which attracts nearly 500,000 attendees annually, will host elite surfers competing for points on the WSL Challenger Series and WSL Longboard Tour.

- Music performances: Enjoy live music every day at the Beach Bar stage, featuring an exclusive ticketed concert by Sublime with Makua Rothman on August 3.
- Daily activities: Participate in yoga classes, live art demos, and check out the pop-up zone, and food and drink from local vendors.
- Winner’s circle athlete signings: The WSL Official Store will host athlete signing sessions with the winner’s of the day’s heats, every day of the window from 2-3 PM, where fans can bring their merch to get signed.
- Movie Nights: Enjoy surf-themed movies on select nights, including screenings of “Lakey Peterson” and “Concrete Dreams.”
