Opened just two years ago, Manny Marroquin’s Verse LA has quickly drawn buzz thanks to the culinary expertise of executive Chef Oscar Torres and a unique, sound-focused dining experience. The elegant supper club is located at 4212 Lankershim Blvd and you can reserve your spot here.
Verse LA started with a dream to build a recording studio big enough to fit a restaurant in. The result was something of the opposite—a fine dining establishment with pitch-perfect acoustics.
So whether you’re talking to the person next to you while music plays in the background or listening to a live performance, you can be sure of private conversations and crystal clear sound.
Verse LA achieves this dynamic audio fidelity through 11 subwoofers and 47 speakers perfectly placed throughout the restaurant. But what’s the best audio without the best jazz performers?
On an average night, the restaurant has some of the best talents from across the country. Multi-genre musician Terrace Martin is no exception, recording live sets every Wednesday. And with past guest acts like Charlie Puth, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Claudio, Robin Thicke, Wayne Brady, Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, and many more, there’s always something special brewing.
And of course, we can’t forget about the food. Inspired by a blend of his Latin and local roots, Chef Oscar describes his fare as a “non-barrier type of cuisine; no boundaries, free-spoken, artistic, it’s what LA is all about. It allows you to share your roots and try other people’s roots; with traveling you draw inspirations, you immediately try to recreate them, then you interpret it as your own, that’s Angeleno Cuisine.”
Doors to Verse LA will open at 4:30pm for first seating until 5:00pm. For the second seating, doors will open at 8:30pm, welcoming guests until 9:00pm.
