The first ever VinylFest is coming next month to The Original Farmers Market. In honor of the 90th anniversary of The Original Farmers Market, some of LA’s most legendary vinyl outlets are coming out to create a vinyl event like no other. On Saturday, December 7 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, vinyl lovers can come together at the market for a day “filled with discovery, creativity, shopping, and a touch of holiday magic.”
First Ever VinylFest
This exciting event is bringing music lovers together with iconic music brands. Get ready for a celebration of “the past, present, and future of vinyl music, DJ culture, and classic rock & roll.” So L.A.’s most famous vinyl shops are bringing their very best to this cool event.
What to expect at VinylFest
The inaugural VinylFest promises a music-filled fun day. Shop at the most legendary vinyl outlets in Los Angeles like Amoeba Music and House of Records. Additionally, you can also purchase professional DJ equipment from AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ.
After your holiday shopping is completed, you can chill out by playing pinball on classic rock & roll machines sponsored by Stern Pinball. Next, jam out to live DJ sets or relive classic rock moments with iconic L.A. radio station KCRW. Plus, live music photographer, Jeff Kravitz, will be on site to capture all the musical magic. It’s a full day of retro music fun for everyone.
The Original Farmers Market History
The Original Farmers Market is considered to be L.A.’s living time capsule of history and culture. This legendary Los Angeles landmark was established way back in 1934. And they now feature over 100 grocers, shops, and delicious restaurants. Plus, they regularly host cool pop-ups and other special events like VinylFest.
