On Monday night, the historic Paramount Studios backlot transformed L.A. into a live movie set. Vogue World: Hollywood took over the streets of the storied lot for a one-night-only open-air runway, turning one of Los Angeles’ oldest working studios into a living, breathing love letter to cinema. And, naturally, the city that built it.
After transforming the streets of New York and London, the global fashion event made its West Coast debut. And there was no better place for it than Hollywood. This year’s show unfolded across seven cinematic “acts,” each inspired by a different film era or genre.
For a few hours, the same backlot where Sunset Boulevard, Psycho, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s were filmed became a playground for the biggest names in fashion and film.
Vogue World: Hollywood A Night Where Fashion Met Film

Each of the seven chapters celebrated a different genre or aesthetic: from “Afrofuturism” to “Avant-Garde” and “Historical Heroines.” Collaboration was at the heart of it all. Award-winning costume designers paired their original creations with high-fashion reimaginings by some of the world’s top houses.
The runway showcased reimagined versions of legendary costumes: Kendall Jenner opened the show in a dazzling recreation of Nicole Kidman’s “Black Diamond” costume from Moulin Rouge! Moments later, Kidman herself appeared on stage singing Put the Blame on Mame in a tribute to Rita Hayworth.
Angela Bassett reprised her role as Queen Ramonda from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, donning an original gown from the film.
Louisa Jacobson and Anok Yai brought Edward Scissorhands to life, with Jacobson wearing a modern reinterpretation by McQueen and Yai donning the original costume designed by Colleen Atwood.
A touching tribute to the late Diane Keaton featured model Betsy Gaghan in a Ralph Lauren recreation of Keaton’s iconic Annie Hall outfit.
Julia Garner stunned in a lavish Marie Antoinette–inspired gown, designed as a nod to Sofia Coppola’s 2006 film.
Even acclaimed actors like Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) and Greta Lee (Tron: Ares, A House of Ghosts) graced the runway. And the event also saw performances by Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams, adding to the night’s electrifying atmosphere.
Giving Back to the L.A. Film Community

Beyond the spectacle, Vogue World: Hollywood also gave back to the people who make movie magic happen. 100% of ticket proceeds will go to the Entertainment Community Fund, supporting L.A.’s costume designers and crew members affected by recent wildfires. Paramount Pictures also pledged a donation, rounding out an event that celebrated not just fashion and film, but the people behind both.
