Think you’ve got what it takes to eat your way to $500? A corn dog eating contest is coming to the 53rd Los Angeles Korean Festival this Saturday. It’s giving hungry Angelenos a chance to compete for cash — one yummy Korean corn dog at a time.
Presented by Smile Hot Dog, the competition will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 1:30 p.m. at Seoul International Park in Koreatown as part of the four-day Korean Festival.
🌭The corn dog eating contest
Contestants will go head-to-head in a race to see who can put away the most corn dogs. The event has limited spots available, so anyone hoping to compete will need to register ahead of time.
The prizes are:
- 🥇 1st place: $500
- 🥈 2nd place: $200
- 🥉 3rd place: $100
So whether you’re a competitive eater or simply have an unusually strong appreciation for Korean-style corn dogs, this might be your chance to turn your appetite into some extra cash.
And the best part is that contest admission is totally free! May the best stomach win. 🌭🏆
🌭What else is happening at the Korean Festival?
The corn dog competition is just one part of the massive four-day celebration, which brings Korean food, music, shopping and cultural programming to Koreatown.
The festival’s 2026 music lineup includes JINUSEAN, Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae, Dumbfoundead, GSoul, Big Ocean and more. Plus, festival goers can enjoy food vendors, Korean products, artisan goods, and cultural performances.
