Moviegoers can step back into the haunting world of Pan’s Labyrinth this fall as Guillermo del Toro’s acclaimed dark fantasy celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Cineverse and Fathom Entertainment are bringing the 2006 film back to theaters from October 8 – 15.
The anniversary release will give fans the chance to see the film in 4K and stereoscopic 3D, as well as an HDR version. The new presentations were overseen by del Toro himself!
A new way to see Pan’s Labyrinth
Set in 1944 Spain, the film follows young Ofelia, who moves with her pregnant mother to a remote military outpost controlled by her cruel stepfather.
The story blends dark fantasy with the realities of post-Civil War Spain, creating one of del Toro’s most recognizable films.
The anniversary release doesn’t change the story or add new footage. Instead, audiences will see the original film presented with a new 4K restoration and 3D conversion, with the different versions overseen by del Toro.
