Your Halloween plans are now confirmed. Ototo has just announced a special one-night-only event on October 31st where their menu is transformed into a Japanese-style 7-Eleven. The unique spooky season event runs from 5:00-10:00 pm. And it’s first come first served, so plan accordingly. Even better, Halloween costumes are encouraged, so it promises to be a fun Halloween evening spent sipping sake.
Echo Park’s Favorite Sake Bar
Ototo is a sake bar focused on small, family-run, craft brewed seasonal sakes. This tiny sake bar in Echo Park even scored a James Beard award for “Outstanding Wine and Other Beverages Program” in 2023. While sake is their passion and main focus, Ototo also serves up some seriously good food.
Their Japanese-influenced menu includes fresh salads like shaki shaki salad and goma-ae with a sesame dressing and shiso. Plus, they serve delicious handmade shumai, black pepper kara-age, shrimp toast on Japanese milk bread, and osaka-style okonomiyaki. And all of the fresh fish on the raw bar pairs perfectly with the invigorating sake.
