Give your ears a little treat next Monday evening, Feb. 10 at the intimate vinyl listening party for the film, A Complete Unknown. The new film from Searchlight Pictures features fan favorite actor, Timothée Chalamet, starring and singing as the iconic singer, Bob Dylan. The vinyl listening party is being hosted by local legends, Are We On Air? at the Kiosk across from Chateau Marmont.
Those attending the listening party will also get a treat for the eyes because Triumph motorcycles and Gibson guitars as seen in the film will be on display. Don’t act like a cool cat and be fashionably late. The first to arrive will receive a complimentary vinyl and exclusive merch while supplies last. So it’s highly encouraged to arrive early to get in line well before the party starts. And as if all that wasn’t cool enough, Levi’s will be on hand giving out limited edition trucker jackets as well.
If you’re wondering what Timothée sounds like as a singer, his voice coach praised his acting and singing in the film. “If you really want to capture the essence of Bob, it’s very multi-layered,” voice coach, Eric Vetro, said in a statement. “He has a lot of different qualities to his voice. It’s sort of like a wine. And Timothée has a really good ear. He can grab onto an idea really fast and he knows how to execute it as an actor.”
Be forewarned, there’s no word if the man himself will be there. Although after so many Timothée Chalamet look-alike contests in recent months, we can always hope that someone will show up looking like the internet’s favorite boyfriend.
