Celebrate The Breathtaking Bloom Of Echo Park’s Floating Flowers

Honor the people and culture of The Republic of China at the 38th Annual Lotus Festival!

In Asian cultures, the lotus flower is a symbol of rebirth, purity, and life! ✨

It is officially July, the time of the year when the distinctive lotus flower is in bloom. Mark your calendars so that you don’t miss out the notable two-day event taking place on July 14 & July 15. The first-ever Lotus Festival originated in 1972 and took place at the Echo Park Lake because of its central location to local Asian and Pacific Islander communities. In addition, Echo Park Lake hosts the largest lotus bed in the United States!

Not only is the festival one of the city’s largest traditions, it also promotes awareness and understanding of the contributions made by the Asian and Pacific Islander communities of Los Angeles. This year the festival will focus on honoring and showcasing the historic endowments of Chinese-Americans.

Anticipate plenty of food, music, dragon boat races and, of course, doezns of lotus flower beds in full bloom! Find out more information about the Lotus Festival here 👈

Location: 571 Echo Park Lake, Los Angeles, 90026. See it on Google maps.
