What is Bastille Day?
Bastille Day, celebrated on July 14, marks the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, a pivotal event that ignited the French Revolution. The fall of the Bastille symbolized the end of absolute monarchy and the rise of liberty, equality, and fraternity in France. Today, Bastille Day is a national holiday in France, commemorated with parades, fireworks, and festivities that honor French freedom and unity.
Leading up to the 2028 L.A. Olympics

With Los Angeles set to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028 and the Opening Ceremony falling on Bastille Day, this event also sets the stage for building cultural momentum and shining a spotlight on France in the lead-up to that global moment.
