Beyond The Streets is launching their first ever Print Bazaar event, “a one-day-only art market that fosters the importance of print as a medium of self-expression through an in-person experience that features a book fair, zine fest, and flea market all in one.”
For their first year, they’ve teamed up with L.A. native Ozzie Juarez and his South Central-based gallery, Tlaloc Studios, to bring their curatorial vision to life.
“Producing events like Print Bazaar, that bring awareness to the medium of print to the youth, is important to me. We want to produce and share things that are physical and trigger a different part of the mind. Print needs to live on or else these creative ideas get lost or wiped out in cyberspace,” shares Juarez.
This first-of-its-kind market will feature a notable selection of local artists, and vendors who have partnered with Vista to print all their goods, delicious food from Monty’s Good Burger, and live music to set the mood right.
“Creativity is the foundation of Los Angeles. It’s important that the community has partners like Vista helping them power their dreams,” said Ricky Engelberg, CMO of Vista, the parent company of VistaPrint. “Our partnership with BEYOND THE STREETS gives us an opportunity to show how we can help artists, designers, and makers easily create high quality materials that impact their business, whether that’s through printing zines and merch like we’re doing at Print Bazaar or partnering with small businesses throughout LA to provide amazing design.”
This event is free to the public.
