Blue Note Jazz Club is officially headed to Los Angeles!
The NYC jazz staple is set to open its doors in Hollywood on August 14, 2025, with back-to-back opening night shows from Grammy-winner Robert Glasper.
“I’m honored to partner up with Blue Note and open the doors to what will be a significant cultural intersection for the Los Angeles community,” said the singer in a statement. “Los Angeles has always been a second home to me, and I can’t wait to bring L.A. culture to the Blue Note.”
The club was originally set to open earlier but its grand opening was reportedly delayed by construction and permitting in the wake of L.A.’s January fires.
The opening season also includes performances from Charlie Puth, Alex Isley, Andra Day, Killer Mike, Ben Folds, Esperanza Spalding, Goldlink, Tank and the Bangas, and dozens more beloved musicians. Artists will typically perform two shows a night, at 7 pm and 9:30 pm, unless designated otherwise. The space has a main showroom that seats 200 guests, and a B-side room that accommodates another 100.
Though the new location will share similarities to its Greenwich Village counterpart, the new Blue Note Jazz Club is making efforts to be uniquely L.A. and will offer an intimate setting to enjoy the live music with a full-service kitchen and beverage menu crafted by Asaf Maoz of L.A.’s Carmel.
“Blue Note LA will focus on curated and consistent, artist-driven programming in that intimate Blue Note Jazz Club vibe that people love,” said Alex Kurland, director of programming at Blue Note Entertainment Group, in a statement. “Blue Note New York has a uniquely New York energy, and for Blue Note LA, it’s important to honor what makes this city’s creative energy and spirit so distinctive. Blue Note embraces the space to collaborate and experience those spontaneous moments that are special. We’re thankful to all the artists and their teams who are a part of this opening season of shows. They’re helping set the tone to launch Blue Note LA.”
Presale for tickets begins June 25, 2025, at 10 am PT on Blue Note L.A.’s website.
📆 When: Opening night is Thursday, August 14, 2025.
📍 Where: 6372 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, near the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood.
