The Los Angeles County’s Guaranteed Income Program Breathe, is aiming to help those in need in hopes of alleviating their financial burden by providing $1000 monthly for the next three years.
You must complete the program application on the Breath site or in person on or before April 13th, 2022. Act fast, the link to apply will only be available during this open enrollment period only. Participants will be chosen by a random draw, therefore there is no guarantee of being selected.
The reason behind this the program states is that “Early research suggests that a Guaranteed Income program can provide households with financial stability during sharp economic swings to breathe a little easier, alleviate stress, and broaden recipients’ horizons, allowing them the time to complete deferred education and job training, as well as plans to fully participate in their communities. Importantly, these programs come without the scrutiny and work requirements of certain public benefits.”
