As temperatures climb, one of the region’s most amazing water attractions is preparing to reopen just outside the city, offering a high-energy escape that feels more like an obstacle course than a typical swim day.
Cali Splash Park, located at Castaic Lake, is a floating attraction set to reopen this Memorial Day Weekend, more specifically on Saturday, May 23. Besides the amazing backdrop where the park is located, what truly sets it apart is its scale.

The inflatable playground is the largest in SoCal, built directly on the lake and featuring more than 45 floating obstacles. These include climbing towers, balance bridges, slides, trampolines, and interconnected platforms designed to test coordination, stamina, and balance. It’s less about relaxing and more about moving constantly across shifting surfaces over water!
Castaic Lake, home to Cali Splash Aqua Park

To hold the region’s biggest inflatable playground, you need a seriously massive lake, and Castaic definitely delivers. As the largest reservoir in L.A. County, this place splits into two giant areas with completely different vibes, meaning there’s a spot for everyone:
- The Upper Lake: This is the high-speed zone. With 29 miles of shoreline, it’s the main hub for anyone looking to go fast on powerboats, jet skis, or sailboats.
- The Castaic Lagoon: If you want a more chilled-out scene, this lower section is where it’s at. It’s reserved for non-motorized fun like kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and, of course, where you’ll find the floating splash park.
If you ever feel like drying off, the surrounding park has over 11,000 acres of open space packed with trails for hiking and mountain biking. Honestly, the place is so massive that even with thousands of weekend visitors, you’ll still feel like you have plenty of room to breathe!
