Huntington Beach, in Orange County, landed the third spot thanks to its strong surf culture, picturesque coastline, and rolling sand dunes. Pismo Beach, in San Luis Obispo County, came in second for its family-friendly vibe and laid-back charm. But taking the number one spot was none other than… Oxnard.
Less than a two-hour drive from Downtown L.A., Oxnard Beach Park (also known as ‘Olol’koy Beach Park) took the top honor, according to experts, thanks to its stunning stretch of golden sands and wide open lawns. With palm-lined paths for skating and jogging, grill areas, volleyball courts, and a children’s play area, it strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and recreation.
