Bagels scored big in California with just over 1 million searches on Google this past year. The website, The Cookie Rookie, searched data on Instagram, TikTok, and Google to reveal the most popular state dishes in the United States. Bagels are the most popular state dish across the country.
Bagels was the most searched state dish in 23 states, and bagels have twice as many Google searches as any other popular food in the country. It takes the top spot with a score of 9.78 out of 10. Plus, it has a top five spot in Instagram and TikTok posts.
