The popular Matcha chainlet has made its way to the West Coast! đź’š
If you’ve come across a photo of a delectable matcha glazed cronut or a trendy Matcha latte of some sort, it was probably an order from New York City’s Cha Cha Matcha. Founders Conrad Sandelman and Matthew Morton just opened an Instagram-worthy space in West Hollywood, and it couldn’t be more fitting for the ‘city of influencers’.
Morton told Eater LA that it was always his dream to open a spot in Los Angeles, having grown up 10 minutes away from the restaurant’s location. The duo plans to open an Abbot Kinney Boulevard location in Venice early next year, bringing it the brand’s brick and mortar total to five. Cha Cha Matcha currently has three other locations in Manhattan as well as an online shop.
Keeping up with the classic LA vibe, Cha Cha Matcha is collaborating with popular designer Virgil Abloh on a collection that includes California-inspired apparel. The collab will even feature compostable packaging, cups, sleeves, and napkins so that you can not only help Mother Earth but look cool while you’re at it!
