Coachella takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. It’s located in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs, about 2 hours from Los Angeles by car (with no traffic).

Is Coachella kid-friendly?
Yes, Coachella is an all-ages festival. Kids 5 and under get general admission for free.
What is not allowed at Coachella?
Coachella has a full list of do’s and don’ts on their site, but here’s a quick (reduced) rundown:
❌ You are not allowed to bring animals, bikes, skates, scooters, skateboards, blankets, chairs, coolers, drones, flags, glass or metal bottles and containers, illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia, cannabis or cannabis products, outside food or beverage, signs, totems, umbrellas, selfie sticks, or tripods.
✅ You are allowed to bring medical prescriptions in labeled containers matching your ID, parasols no larger than 23″ long x 32″ wide when opened, backpacks no larger than 18″x13″x8.5″, purses and handbags no larger than 12″x6″x12″, non-professional cameras, empty plastic water bottles, non-aerosol sunblock, and small to medium sized towels.
