The fried chicken joint L.A. never knew it needed just opened its doors to the public this week!
Sure, you can get fried chicken anywhere – but not David Chang’s… The famed chef just opened up Fuku inside of Santa Monica’s SocialEats food hall on Third Street Promenade this week and guests are already lining out the door to get a taste!
Everything on the menu looks delicious, so good luck settling on one entreé (or don’t, we won’t judge.) Whether you choose to dive into the Southern-style finger sandwich or opt-in for the spicy fried chicken – both featuring a plush Martin’s potato roll – don’t forget to add one of the delectable sides to your order like waffle fries, chili-garlic green beans, or horseradish snow peas. Why not throw in one of the chicken spot’s signature strawberry lemonade slushies while you’re at it!
Fuku also offers a special secret menu item for those looking to up the spice level on the highly anticipated chicken. The Rippin’ Hot cold fried chicken leg is so spicy that guests are required to wear gloves before they attempt to devour it! If you’re brave enough, be sure to plan accordingly because the hot and aromatic seasoned chicken is only available upon request and is exclusive to the Santa Monica location.
There’s also a griddled cheese sandwich available on the secret menu as well if sweating every tastebud off isn’t your thing!
