Deborah Vance, the fictional character played by Jean Smart from HBO’s Emmy Award-winning series Hacks, has her own highway!
The Deborah Vance Fan Club has officially adopted a stretch of the I-15 highway between Las Vegas and Los Angeles near San Bernardino.
HBO commemorated the adoption with a billboard that reads, “Welcome to the Deborah Vance Highway, 222 miles to Vegas” on one side, and “Divas Don’t Litter: Keep The Deborah Vance Highway Beautiful” on the other.
“Deborah Vance does not tolerate littering, and her ‘Little Debbies’ do not either,” reads a press release.
“A group of ‘Little Debbies; dressed in pink safety vests and leopard print hard hats came out this past Saturday to tidy up the desert highway stretch, trash pickers in hand.”
The highway stretch will remain named after Deborah Vance from April 8, 2026, through April 8, 2027.
“With the Adopt-A-Highway program, the beloved comedy series will leave its mark in San Bernardino County, turning the real-world roadway into one of the country’s most fabulous.”
