Downtown LA Just Got A New Drinking Hideaway Called Bar Franca

By Malia Wooten

The glow up is real! ✨

A mellow bar quietly arrived in DTLA last month and it’s already become a cherished hidden gem. Bar Franca is tucked in a burrow of shops on Main Street and offers a laid-back environment for locals and tourists looking to wet their whistle.

The Euro-style bar has tall ceilings, festive floral wallpaper, a long bar, and semi-separate lounge seating up near the sidewalk.

Drinks vary in price but most lie within the $13 to $14 dollar range. Choose from a uniquely curated list of beer, wine, and bar snacks or opt-in for a simple cocktail like the Rodeo made of tequila, cucumber, cinnamon cucumber water, lime, and Grand Marnier.

The bar is open Tuesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. If you’re looking for a deal, stop by the bar during happy hour Tuesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $8 drinks! Be sure to check out @barfrancadtla on Instagram to follow up on special events and live musical performances.

Location: 438 S. Main St., Los Angeles, CA 90013. See it on Google maps.
