Beverly Hills Hotel Crash
Two Tesla Cybertruck crashes in one day in Los Angeles County seems unlikely, but that’s exactly what happened last Sunday, March, 3. According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, a two-vehicle collision occurred in front of the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday. The Cybertruck was on a straight trajectory for the famous Beverly Hills Hotel sign but ended up stuck on a low concrete wall surrounding the sign. The Cybertruck’s front wheels and the poles holding up the sign sustained minimal damage. However, according to police, no one was injured in the crash and no arrests were made.
134 Freeway Crash
This was the second Cybertruck incident just that Sunday. The earlier incident that evening involved a Cybertruck on the 134 Freeway that fell off an overpass and onto a concrete barrier. It quickly burst into flames, but miraculously both the driver and passenger escaped unharmed. However, they were hospitalized after the crash.
Elon’s Response
After the two incidents, Elon Musk took to social media to respond. On X (formerly Twitter), Musk claimed that a “Cyberbeast is faster than a Porsche 911, but looks like a truck, so perhaps the valet wasn’t expecting so much acceleration.” It was initially reported that a valet was driving the crashed Cybertruck, but later information revealed that to be untrue as valet services are not available that late at the hotel. No further information has been released at this time about the two incidents.
