On President’s Day Weekend (February 18th & 19th), BANDALOOP will give a performance like none other with The Vertical Stage. The show will see the beautiful façade of Fairmont Century Plaza turned into a dance floor that the talented performers of BANDALOOP will dance across to live music.
Off the heels of a performance at Lincoln Center, BANDALOOP’s weekend residency at Fairmont Century Plaza is part of the hotel’s commitment to offer unique and powerful community activities to locals and guests alike while taking luxury experience beyond limits.
If you thought regular dancing was tough, BANDALOOP takes things even further. Combining intricate aerial choreography with climbing technology, the non-profit group blends two artforms that, individually, already require an incredible amount of athleticism and grace.
BANDALOOP is not only a celebration of performance art, but also a demonstration of just how much humans are capable of. As Amelia Rudolph, the group’s founder, puts it: “They say what we do is death-defying. I’d say it’s life-affirming.”
You can grab VIP tickets to The Vertical Stage for preferred viewing, small bites, and cocktails. There will also be complementary standing room. And since the show takes place at Fairmont Century Plaza, you can easily grab drinks or dinner at Lumiere after the show.
Each of these one-of-a-kind performances is set to original live music and will be about 25 minutes long. The four shows will take place February 18th and 19th on President’s Day Weekend at 1 and 4pm, depending on which ticket you select.
