There are some things that feel almost permanently woven into California life: endless freeway traffic, palm trees lining the streets and the familiar red-and-white glow of an In-N-Out sign. And now, several more California neighborhoods are getting their own chance to skip the longer drive.
Three new locations are coming to Southern California

The Southern California additions are planned for Commerce, South El Monte and Chino, putting three new restaurants within the broader L.A. and Inland Empire region. The Commerce restaurant is planned for 6232 Craig Lane, while the South El Monte location will be at 1221 Santa Anita Ave. The Chino restaurant is planned for 8245 Pine Ave.
The fourth California restaurant is coming to Stockton, at 10537 Trinity Parkway. For Stockton, the project is already further along. Construction was underway this summer, and In-N-Out’s chief operating officer previously told The Stockton Record that the restaurant was progressing through construction and was expected to open later in 2026.
The other three California locations are also listed by the company as “opening soon,” although official grand-opening dates have not been announced. That means anyone hoping to be first in line should wait for In-N-Out’s own announcement.
California remains In-N-Out’s home base
The additions come as In-N-Out continues expanding beyond California while still adding restaurants in its original market. The chain now has more than 400 locations across 10 states, with more than 200 restaurants in California, according to the Los Angeles Times. In-N-Out was founded in Baldwin Park in 1948 and remains privately owned by the Snyder family.
The company also recently opened a new restaurant in Irvine’s Great Park. That location began serving customers on September 4, making the four newly listed California restaurants part of a continuing expansion across the state. For Southern Californians, that means three more familiar red signs are on the horizon — and depending on where you live, the next Double-Double run could soon be a whole lot shorter.
