And across Los Angeles, there are many free food resources available to help individuals and families facing food insecurity. From community food pantries and regular grocery distributions to programs offering fresh produce and hot meals, residents have access to a variety of nutritious options throughout the city.

LA County is mobilizing resources to support residents affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown. Please call 211 for food assistance.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank connects people to local partner agencies offering free groceries and meal support. Join the LA Foodbank for a free food distribution event at The Kia Forum in Inglewood this Saturday.

Together We Thrive Food Bank
Together We Thrive Food Bankgives away free fresh produce every Monday and Friday. The market partners with local farms to make healthy, seasonal fruits and vegetables accessible to everyone.
Nourish LA
Nourish LA is a nonprofit organization that rescues surplus good food, especially fresh produce, and distributes it free to families in need. They hold regular weekend distributions in areas like Mar Vista and partner with local farms & businesses.
Food Forward
Food Forward focuses on fresh fruits and vegetables by rescuing surplus produce and getting it to free-distribution sites via partner agencies across L.A. County.
LA Community Alliance
LA Community Alliance is focused on helping underserved populations in Greater Los Angeles by offering free food, clothing, outreach and resource-education programs.
Westside Food Bank
Serving the western portion of Los Angeles County like Santa Monica, Culver City, West Hollywood, Westside Food Bank provides nutritious food through member agencies in those neighborhoods.
Food Not Bombs
Food Not Bombs recovers and shares free vegan and vegetarian food with the public in over 1,000 cities worldwide to protest war and destruction of the environment.
