With so many vibrant farmers markets across L.A., picking a favorite can be tough. But Together We Thrive Food Bank stands out with a truly unique concept: it gives away free fresh produce every Monday and Friday. The market partners with local farms to make healthy, seasonal fruits and vegetables accessible to everyone. It’s become a beloved community hub where neighbors gather together and support sustainable food practices.
Together We Thrive Food Bank says there is no cost and no catch. “Just community helping community.” So swing by, stock up, and support a community-driven mission to fight food insecurity.
What is Together We Thrive Food Bank?
Together We Thrive Food Bank is a local Los Angeles County food bank with a twist. They provide “free farmer’s markets which offer fresh locally sourced fruits and vegetables to food insecure populations.” They have a unique “holistic approach to food insecurity” which “takes a long term view of physical, mental and planetary health, all of which are benefited from a move towards a vegetarian diet.”
How do they get fresh produce?
Together We Thrive Food Bank operates with volunteers and donations. They receive donations of surplus fruit and vegetables from local farms and gardens. (If you have extra produce for donation, contact them here!)
