Los Angeles is getting ready to celebrate one of its most important natural landmarks with a day full of art, music, food, and community.
RiverFest 2026 returns this August with free admission, bringing together local artists, live performances, environmental exhibits, and family-friendly activities at LA State Historic Park.

Celebrate the LA River and the community around it
Hosted by Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR), RiverFest is back for its fifth year. The free open-air festival celebrates the culture, history, and people that make the Los Angeles River such an important part of the city.
This year’s event will once again transform LA State Historic Park into a lively gathering place where Angelenos can connect with local artists, environmental organizations, and neighbors.
Expect art, live performances, & food trucks
RiverFest 2026 will feature plenty to explore throughout the afternoon, including:
- Live performances from local artists
- An environmental art gallery
- A marketplace featuring local vendors
- Interactive eco-activities for all ages
- Food from some of L.A.’s favorite food trucks
The festival is designed for the whole family, with hands-on activities that encourage visitors to learn more about the LA River while having fun.
