Time for some serious selfie action!
A fun art installation is popping up in the bustling shopping plaza over at FIGAt7th in Downtown Los Angeles. If you’re in dire need of some new photos to post on the ‘gram, head over to check out these massive glowing inflatables through November 10.
Expect four giant humanoid figures to tower over you as they take over the skyline view plaza this year! Though they may seem huge, these large beings are quite gentle and are fascinated by our planet and its inhabitants. Feel free to say hi, hug, or lightly touch the art installations, but be cautious not to offend them by kicking, punching, or jumping onto/into them.
This public piece is the work of Australian Artist Amanda Parer and her luminous friends are part of Fantastic Planet – an edgy and ephemeral take on exploring the natural world as well as our fragility and our role within it. Parer lightly touches on the idea of an unhinged human race through her Fantastic Planet installation, opening the door for existential and philosophical questions about our place in today’s world and our role in the future!
Location: 735 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90017. See it on Google maps.
