It’s no secret that In-N-Out is a Southern California staple. It was even crowned as one of America’s top healthiest burgers. Now we have another bragging right! Gordon Ramsay recently appeared on Mythical Kitchen and included In-N-Out on his list of last meals.
The lust goes as follows — a full English breakfast, butter chicken, chicken wings, beef wellington, gin & tonic, sticky toffee pudding, deep-fried mars bar, and of course — an In-N-Out burger. We can’t blame him! Who else can resist those consistently perfectly cooked patties and yummy melted cheese topped with fresh veggies?
“These guys are incredible. The fact that everything’s sourced locally, they stay within California. It’s a perfect drive-through, you don’t get any hassle,” Ramsay said on the show. “I bring the window down, I give them a little $100 bill as a big thank you, and I pick up my double-double.”
Known for his Michelin star restaurants and TV shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, the renowned chef is often considered a tough person to please. But he had a lot of praise to give to our beloved burger joint — which he even referred to as heaven. In the interview, he also admitted that In-N-Out was a big inspiration behind his first burger restaurant in Las Vegas.
It seems even In-N-Out has the power to win over even the harshest of culinary critics. Aside from our honor from the chef, we definitely got to know Gordon Ramsay on a deeper level in this episode of Mythical Kitchen. He discusses his past, career path, and family. We’re just grateful the legendary chef mentioned our local staple.
