If your selfie-game has been looking pretty dull then be sure to make it over to BLOOM, the pop-up art show that promises to spice up your gallery!
An interactive world of flowers will spread out over 100,000 square feet of lush grass in Griffith Park on June 22, 23 & 24. With a focus on hand-crafted art, BLOOM aims to leave your “spirit uplifted and your camera full of fun pictures!” The outdoor gallery is expected to include pieces such as giant dandelions to wish under, and a tub full of relaxing lavender to soak in.
Life in the city can get pretty hectic, so take the time to stop and smell the flowers. Organisers are also promising delectable treats, hands-on workshops, food trucks and musical guests, while participants can immerse themselves in activities such as making flower crowns, planting succulent terrariums, decorating flower pots, and face painting.
In addition to enjoying a day spent frolicking through grassland, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to an amazing cause. BLOOM is partnering up with Honeylove, a local nonprofit conservation organization with a mission to protect the honeybees and inspire and educate new urban beekeepers. The Valley Hive will provide information about keeping your garden friendly to pollinators as they deliver lively, educational presentations and sticky-sweet honey tastings.
Kick off your shoes and stick your toes in the soil for this unique experience inspired by Mother Nature herself.
