A local taco favorite is setting up shop in the 91210!
All praise to the taco gods! It’s official, the Boyle Heights-born taco shop is making its way to Beverly Hills making it easier for the westside to satisfy their conchinita pibil-fix.
The new location is hidden in the back alley just south of Wilshire, in a parking lot between Linden and McCarthy; raising the restaurant chain’s count to seven. You can now visit other Guisado locations in Boyle Heights, Echo Park, Downtown, West Hollywood, Koreatown, and Burbank! The company owner, Armando de la Torre and his son Armando Jr., took over the space of a former “locals-only” mom-and-pop shop called Cool Basil Thai Bistro which closed back in 2016. Until the takeover, space has been empty.
By the looks of it, Guisados made a pretty smart move considering the lack of tacos available in that part of town. Now the neighborhood can relax knowing they won’t have to trek all to the Southland to enjoy authentic Mexican homestyle tacos made with handmade tortillas, beans, and rice!
Location: 120 S Linden Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212. See it on Google maps.
Hours: Monday – Saturday from 10:30 am to 9 pm. Closed on Sundays.
