A New Online Portal Launched By J.K. Rowling Brings The Magic Of Harry Potter To Your Home

Wizards and witches around the world can now banish boredom thanks to Harry Potter At Home.

Children and adults alike have woken to magical news this morning with J.K. Rowling’s announcement of Harry Potter At Home, the wonderful wizarding website intent on banishing boredom from our homes. It’s not quite a letter from Hogwarts, but it sure is close.

Made in collaboration with Scholastic and Bloomsbury, the online hub will provide parents, teachers, and carers with the tools to inspire, amuse and entertain children. But don’t worry, adults and long-time fans! There’s plenty of magic for everyone to discover while in lockdown.

Online you will find quizzes to play, puzzles to solve, guides to drawing fantastic beasts as well as taking part in the sorting-hat ceremony when you first register. Don’t forget to sign-up to the weekly newsletters when registering, as these and articles will be updated regularly so as to give an ever-evolving collection of new resources that are easy to find, access and use

The Wizarding World Team has said, “for over twenty years, Hogwarts has always been there to welcome you home, so whether you’re starting Chapter One of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone with your child for the first time, or you’re halfway through the audiobooks, or you’ve just finished the seventh book (again), the Harry Potter At Home hub is here for you.”

The online portal to the wonderful wizarding world of Harry Potter arrives shortly after J.K. Rowling and her publishers loosened restrictions on teachers using the Harry Potter books as reading material during online classes, as well as the audiobook versions being made available on Audible.

So, no matter who you are, the Harry Potter At Home hub will keep you occupied for hours at a time, leading you even further into the fantastical world of Hogwarts and all of its spellbinding magic.
