Trade In Your Sweets For Cocktail Treats At L.A.’s Most Talked About Haunted Mansion

Things are turning sinister at a hidden mansion in LA!

The witching hour is nearly upon us, signaling that perhaps it is time to enjoy some eerie libations. Angelenos are in for a real treat, in the form of a macabre cocktail soirée inside a hidden mansion.

The House of Spirits might look alluring from the outside, but beware… there are plenty of hair-raising surprises inside. Guests will discover they’re unwittingly taking part in a dark ritual, loosely based on the final days of the Spanish artist Francisco Goya.

The macabre gathering is centered on the story of a fictional artist—Francisco Vega—and his six disturbing Spirit Paintings depicting peculiar figures. Vega believed these paintings were the key to opening a doorway to another world. Perhaps he was right. His paintings were discovered inside his home after his descent into madness and eventual death, and maybe – just maybe – this night will give you the chance to see his paintings come to life.

As you explore the sinister mansion, sip on a flight of six miniature Don Julio cocktails – each one inspired by a different room of the house. On the menu, you’ll find the likes of the Black Magic Margarita in the Ouija room, or Magipe, once you’ve discovered the Sunroom.

The Black Magic Margarita has the perfect combination of ingredients to keep even the most sinister of guests happy. It combines Don Julio tequila with fresh lime juice, jalapeno, cucumber, and activated charcoal! There’s also the deliciously eerie Salud hidden in one of the rooms, made of Don Julio tequila, 1oz fresh grapefruit juice, .5oz fresh lime juice, .5oz agave nectar, and a touch of rosé.

This elegantly cursed experience, for over 21s only, opened on October 11 and runs for 2-hour intervals, giving guests plenty of time to witness all the hair-raising occurrences within the historic Los Angeles location. Guests are encouraged (but not required) to dress in cocktail attire, or perhaps even themed time-period costumes. It’s a chance to dress up in your finest attire to enjoy a Don Julio cocktail in an eerie setting.
