Finally! Angelenos will get to step into a floor-to-ceiling Van Gogh world.
We’ve all been enjoying the art world vicariously over the last year, burying our faces in the social feeds of those lucky enough to live in cities hosting this “blockbuster” Van Gogh exhibition. Now we finally get to experience it in real-life from May 27, when the immersive exhibition lands in L.A. While the location remains a secret, we do know that tickets go on sale on February 13 at 10:00 a.m. PST. You’ll want to get those thumbs ready though, considering pre-sale tickets sold out almost instantly.
In this sensorial wonderland, the artist’s astonishing masterpieces will be brought to life with colossal state-of-the-art projections. Guests will be completely enveloped in multi-sensory scenes of midnight blue and brilliant yellow post-impressionist brushstrokes from masterpieces like Starry Night, Sunflowers, The Potato Eaters, The Bedroom and more.
Expect an hour-long, timed-entry experience featuring around 60,600 frames of video that will transform two-dimensional works into illuminated three-dimensional landscapes that glide beneath your feet.
