It evokes scenes from Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey but with a touch of rustic farmhouse charm and Superhost-level comforts.
Nestled into the vast arid landscape of Joshua Tree, this spherical, inflatable structure with a transparent ceiling is in complete contrast with its natural surroundings. There are few places we could think of that are more perfectly suited to taking in the dazzling galactic views than from a lush bed with the window looking straight out into the sky above you.
Your body clock will inevitably synch with the new environment as the skies explode into pink hues to wake you up at dawn. Deep orange sunsets signal that it’s time to gather around the barbecue deck for dinner or s’mores in the evening, and the moon and Milky Way light up the dark nights. It’s also the perfect place to catch a meteor shower or Halloween’s Blue Moon if you plan your visit right.
Basically, you get all the breathtaking open-air views but without the polar evening temperatures interrupting anything. You could also do your stargazing from the ‘cowboy tub’ if you prefer or the modern outdoor shower area that comes replete with loungers.
