It seems that every week, more details are being released about the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
On Wednesday, LA28 officially unveiled the competition schedule for Olympic events from July 14-30, 2028 (the Paralympic schedule has not yet been released).

LA28 competition schedule
The Olympic competition schedule reveals detailed dates and hours for competitions and medal ceremonies in each sport.
Notably, the women’s 100-meter final will be the main primetime event on the first official day of competition, July 15, 2028. The men’s 100-meter will take place on the second day, and track and field (athletics) events will carry on through the first week.
Artistic gymnastics events are scheduled from July 15-25, and swimming kicks off in the second week of competition from July 22-30.

Ticket registration opens in January 2026
Ticket registration for the LA28 Games opens in January 2026, at which point fans may register their names and information for the ticket lottery.
If you’re a resident living near one of the venues, you may be eligible for early access to tickets! See a full list of venues and events here.
Selected registrants will be assigned a ticket drop time slot beginning in 2026, at which point they can purchase tickets.

Volunteering at LA28
Tens of thousands of volunteers are recruited to help run the Olympics and Paralympics.
LA28 just kicked off the volunteer program in the first week of November, and you can now register your interest in volunteering at the Games.
The official application process for roles in 2028 begins in the summer of 2026, but LA28 is also recruiting volunteers for community-related roles right now.
