For the first time since 1991, the Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco Warriors are going head-to-head in the Western Conference Semifinals.
The last time the California teams came face to face in the semifinals with each other was over 30 years ago. That year, the Lakers won 4-1 against the Warriors. Despite the big win, the L.A. team would end up losing the NBA finals to the great Michael Jordan and the Bulls.
Now in 2023, eyes are set to be on both teams and their leading men — LeBron James and Stephen Curry.
Tuesday sets off the first-to-four games between the Warriors and the Lakers. The first Lakers home game in the series is set for Game 3 this Saturday, May 6.
