LeBron James has officially surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record at Crypto.com Arena.
On Tuesday night February 7, 2023, James made NBA basketball history by officially surpassing Abdul-Jabbar’s regular season scoring mark of 38,387 career points. That’s not all though. James is only one of seven players to score 30,000 career points and at 38 years old, he is one of the youngest to do it.
In a nod to the number, James wore customized headphones during warmups with gold letters that read “38,388” on the top and rocked his iconic headband throughout the game.
Thousands of Angelenos witnessed the feat along with several notable celebrities like Bad Bunny, Jay-Z, and even the legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar himself in attendance. With this incredible accomplishment in NBA history, Lakers fans have even more bragging rights.
