As the World Cup comes to an end, communities across Los Angeles are preparing for the tournament’s thrilling final chapters. The upcoming weeks are packed with incredible local activations, viewing parties, and cultural festivals celebrating this historic sporting moment. Leading the charge of these celebrations is Park to Park 2026, a massive open-streets block party that will transform a major L.A. street into a pedestrian paradise this weekend!
Presented by L.A. City Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez and LA Metro, this completely free two-day celebration will close Wilshire Boulevard to cars and open it up entirely to the community. Connecting MacArthur Park and Lafayette Park, this festival will turn the street into what Councilmember Hernandez highlights as “one of the largest pedestrianized streets in the country“.
What you can expect from Park to Park
Soccer fans can catch three World Cup Quarter-final matches live on a giant LED screen right in the Westlake MacArthur Park neighborhood.

- Friday: Spain vs. Belgium at 12:00 PM
- Saturday: Norway vs. England at 2:00 PM
- Saturday: Argentina vs. Switzerland at 6:00 PM
Moreover, on Saturday, July 11, the street comes alive with a free concert hosted by MC Julieta Isela. Come ready to dance to salsa, boogaloo, plena, bomba, and Latin rhythms!

Reconnecting MacArthur Park
This exciting celebration is a vital part of the Reconnecting MacArthur Park project, a multi-phased initiative to reimagine the segment of Wilshire Boulevard through and adjacent to MacArthur Park. The goal is to create much-needed open space in one of Los Angeles’ most densely populated and diverse communities. This project has the objective to restore one of LA’s most historic parks as a welcoming place for people and families while improving neighborhood health through added green space, enhancing safety for people walking and rolling, and improving local air quality.
