Each year, Los Angeles Fleet Week attracts more than 100,000 people to the waterfront, making it the largest Memorial Day event in Southern California. This year’s 10th annual celebration carries added significance as the official kickoff to America 250 celebrations in L.A., launching a summer of events marking the United States’ 250th anniversary.

Things to do at LA Fleet Week
Los Angeles Fleet Week 2026 presents an immersive expo experience featuring military demonstrations, community engagement, and hands-on learning. Visitors will have a rare opportunity to engage with service members through interactive displays from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Active-duty ship tours are one of LA Fleet Week’s main attractions, inviting guests aboard real U.S. battleships. The historic WWII-era Battleship IOWA is especially popular.
Throughout the weekend, gaze skyward for all-day aerial demonstrations and flyovers, 90+ exhibitors offering everything from flight simulators to veteran support, and even pickleball and dodgeball tournaments.

🗓️ Dates: Festival and ship tours are happening May 22-25, 2026. Neighborhood activations began May 19th.

🎟️ Admission: Tickets are not required for LA Fleet Week, and admission is free. Battleship IOWA tours are separate and do require a ticket, which can be purchased on site or in advance.

🪪 ID and security: All attendees are subjected to metal detection and possible pat-downs. If taking a ship tour, U.S. citizens must present a government-issued ID, and non-citizens must present a valid passport and will be fingerprinted and photographed.
🎒 Prohibited items: If you want to tour a Navy ship, keep in mind that the following items are prohibited: Large bags, open-toed shoes, high heels, weapons, food, drinks, coolers, and ice chests.
