Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival is bringing a stacked lineup of women in music to Irvine this weekend, and getting home after the final set just got a little easier. Metrolink is adding special late-night service on Saturday, August 29, giving concertgoers an alternative to driving from Great Park.
How Metrolink’s special Daisy Chain Fields service works
Metrolink will run three special trains after Daisy Chain Fields wraps up. The additional service is designed to connect Irvine and Anaheim with destinations across Southern California. The three trains will depart as follows:
- 11:30 p.m.: Train 698 from Anaheim to Oceanside
- 11:40 p.m.: Train 699 from Irvine to L.A. Union Station
- 11:30 p.m.: Train 898 from Irvine to San Bernardino-Downtown
The festival is expected to draw a large crowd, while parking at Great Park is limited, so organizers are encouraging attendees to consider public transportation. You can check Metrolink’s schedules and plan your trip before heading out.
The special trains use regular Metrolink fares. Since the festival takes place on a Saturday, the $10 SoCal Day Pass offers unlimited systemwide travel that day. Up to three children ages 17 and under can also ride free with each paying adult.
Daisy Chain Fields brings a major lineup to Irvine
Daisy Chain Fields is Rodrigo’s first music festival, created to bring women in music together while supporting organizations that advocate for women and girls. The one-day event takes over Great Park with performances across two stages.
The lineup includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Garbage, Bikini Kill, The Breeders, Santigold, KATSEYE and Rodrigo herself, with special guests Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan and Karen O.
Beyond the music, the festival will feature nonprofit activations, educational resources, art installations and local vendors. Net proceeds will benefit organizations including Baby2Baby, Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights.
