Alongside the ’90s, the 1970s might just be the most groundbreaking and revolutionary decade in film history. With bold storylines and controversial themes, it gave us many of the screen legends we love today, from actors to directors who either got their start or reached the peak of their careers during this era.
To celebrate this beloved time in cinema, Netflix is hosting a special screening series titled “1975: Fifty Is the New Hollywood” at the city’s iconic and legendary Egyptian Theatre. Some of the films you’ll get to enjoy include Kubrick’s classic Barry Lyndon, the adrenaline-fueled Jaws, the action-packed Chinatown and Dog Day Afternoon, and of course, the greatest classic of all time, The Godfather Part II.
Screenings will take place throughout the month of May. You can check out the full lineup, showtimes, and grab your tickets here.
